With the sole objective of producing, exhibiting and distributing films and providing entertainment to Nepali movie viewers the four in one hall air conditioned deluxe Gopi Krishna movies Pvt.Ltd. was inaugurated on 21st Jestha 2053 by His Royal Highness Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev (Present King). This G. K movies P. Ltd, screens new films for entertainment and has added three more movie hall namely Ram, Sita & Laxman to the existing complex and provides added entertainment through the now popular four in one air conditioned deluxe movie hall complex.
From the very beginning the G. K. Movies Pvt. Ltd has been screening new and well-known movies. It has once again revived in the movie viewer the culture of watching movies in cinema halls. Now the newly released hindi movies can be seen in Kathmandu without having to wait for long. Besides it also screens standard films and provides further entertainment. The Four Halls within the Gopi Krishna complex provides choice to the film viewer and all four halls besides being air conditioned also has a Dolby Digital Sound System. This private Limited is credited with being the pioneer in the field. It accommodates 6318 people at one sitting and tickets can be booked by telephone one week ahead. The Gopi Krishna movie Pvt.Ltd. is equipped with an automatic generator and this minimizes disturbances during blackouts.
To date the Gopi Krishna Pvt. Ltd. has produced and discredited the largest number of films. Its first production Kusume Rumal has gone down in Nepali Film History as being the first film to celebrate a silver jubilee. Up to now besides Kusume Rumal the Gopi Krishna movies has produced eleven films and brought them before the public: namely Kusume Rumal , Mayalu, Tilahari , Parivar, Gopi Krishna, Arpan , Jay baba Pashupatinath, Amma, Mato Bolchha Sahid Gate, Ukali O-rali. Besides it was the Sayapatri Movies of Gopi Krishna Pvt. Ltd that started the tradition of making social, religious and political films. It was also the first to produce a film like Jay Baba Pashupatinath in Nepali and Hindi version.

Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall is one of the best movie hall in the country. It is the largest three in one hall with the capacity of showing movies to 6318 people at one sitting. For the best quality sound we have been using Dolby Digital sound system. Further more we are equippd with automatic generator.
